Art on the Outside On Route–66 Lights is a special Art on the Outside project in celebration of the City of West Hollywood’s 25th Anniversary of Cityhood. Art on the Outside projects bring temporary art installations and exhibits out into the public realm to enhance the City’s lively pedestrian-friendly culture. Art on the Outside is a program of the Arts and Cultural Affairs Commission whose mission is to promote and nurture the arts and cultural life of the City. Museum of Neon Art The Museum of Neon Art was founded in Los Angeles in 1981. Currently located in the Old Bank district of Downtown Los Angeles, MONA (as it is familiarly known) is negotiating a permanent facility in the City of Glendale. The Museum of Neon Art offers an energizing, colorful and engaging experience through changing exhibits of neon art, glass and kinetic works and a premiere collection of historic neon signs. The mission of the Museum of Neon Art is to encourage learning and curiosity through the preservation, collection and interpretation of neon art.
